How To Avoid The Flu

1) Avoid sugar.  This includes bread, crackers, pasta, etc.

2) Eat your greens. Eat fresh, raw, dark leafy green veggies. My morning drink includes a handful of organic kale and spinach or dandelion greens, a slice of raw ginger, apple, turmeric, a scoop of protein, a scoop of UltraInflamX, ice and water.  This concoction is rich in vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Plus, eating fresh leafy greens every day keeps my body alkalized which helps keep inflammation and thus health problems away!  I put these ingredients in my Vitamix and push the “juice” button.   It’s filling too.

3) Drink lots of water.  If you feel tired, it might mean you’re dehydrated.  Travel with a glass or stainless-steel container of filtered water.  Drink it all day long.  Rule of thumb:  drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day.  Example:  a 150 lb. person would aim to drink 75 oz. every day.

4) Wash your hands.  I have a nail brush and I use it several times a day.  I soap it up and scrub for a minimum of 30 seconds to one minute.  Keeping a good immune system is #1 but some days we may come in contact with really stubborn germs that we don’t want to live under our nails.  Remember to keep your hands away from your face (eyes, mouths, nose)

5) Exercise.  Exercise boosts your immune system and will keep you healthier in body, mind, and soul.

6) Meditate and Pray.  One is listening to God; the other is talking to God.  Starting your day this way will help eliminate stress.  Stress causes illness. Listen to your body and trust your instincts.  If you feel too tired to go out, stay home and lay low.
